1. Overview

At Biafia, we want buyers to shop with confidence. Sellers on the platform may offer returns based on the product category, condition, and local law.


2. General Return Conditions

2.1. Returns are accepted if items are:

  • Significantly not as described
  • Damaged upon delivery
  • Defective

2.2. Buyers must request a return within 7 days of delivery (exceptions may apply for electronics, appliances, or health products).
2.3. Proof such as photos or video may be required.


3. Category Exceptions

3.1. Perishables & Foodstuffs: Generally not returnable unless damaged/contaminated on arrival.
3.2. Hygiene-Sensitive Items: e.g., cosmetics, opened baby care products — returns accepted only if defective.


4. Refunds

4.1. Refunds will be processed after the seller receives and inspects returned goods.
4.2. Refund methods include:

  • Original payment reversal
  • Store credit
  • Mobile money transfer


5. Dispute Handling

5.1. If seller and buyer cannot agree, contact Biafia Support.
5.2. Biafia may intervene and make a decision based on evidence.
